07-07-04 Come Celebrate the Virginia Pep Band's 30th
Anniversary at UVA's Homecoming this Fall!
The Virginia Pep Band and Friends of the Virginia Pep Band, Inc. are
pleased to announce that we will be hosting a celebration of the band’s
30th anniversary during Homecoming weekend, September 17-18, 2004. A
number of social events are planned for the weekend, and we will be
ordering a block of discount tickets to the football game versus Akron.
Below is a VERY
tentative itinerary:
Friday, September 17, 2004:
Dinner/appetizers and drinks at a restaurant on the Corner (location TBA)
Student Council Pep rally including Band performance (Mad Bowl)
Frisbee golf with Banders (Tee-off at Mincer’s)
Saturday, September 18, 2004:
Pre-game event with Band performance (details TBA)
Procession to game (bring your vest!)
Kickoff vs. Akron (tentatively set as 3 p.m.)
Dinner and drinks or BBQ (very tentative)
Pep Band party (~10:30 p.m.)
(Sunday, September 19, 2004: possible addition of a band-alumni
basketball/football/etc. game)
The Band also anticipates selling a variety of merchandise throughout
the weekend. We will be sending out more detailed information and order
forms for tickets, events, and merchandise later in the summer. If you
are not already on the FVPB contact list, please send an e-mail to

All proceeds from this event will be used to benefit the Virginia Pep
Band.
